Isaac delivered an online introduction to AI session [De-mystifying AI] for our team, whose role is to support students to use AI thoughtfully and effectively. Many colleagues were looking to build their confidence in the technology, understand its potential, and feel better equipped to have informed conversations with students.

The session was engaging, well-paced and highly accessible, regardless of prior knowledge. Isaac explained how AI works in a clear and practical way, explored the ethical considerations surrounding its use, and highlighted common indicators of AI-generated content to help our team better understand the conversations they may have with students.

Isaac created an open, supportive environment where people felt comfortable asking questions, and his balanced, evidence-informed approach helped demystify what can often feel like a complex and rapidly evolving area.

I started researching public perception and ethics of AI in 2022, before ChatGPT came out. Then, the question was whether people would accept machines making decisions about their health. In 2025, I presented my continued academic research at an ACM conference.

Now, I read Computer Science at Durham University, where I am developing agentic dark web tooling for the Police. I also work as an Ethical Hacker, so through both hands-on AI development and security work, I know where these systems come apart. I currently also volunteer as a Computer Science teaching assistant, and used to run a tutoring agency. I’d like to think both my hands-on AI and educational backgrounds show in my sessions.

No. Nobody is asked to write code or set anything up.

De-mystifying AI runs to 1.5 hours. Practical AI at Work runs to 2 hours. Both include time for questions throughout.

Both, anywhere in the UK, with travel agreed as part of the quote. I am experienced with both, and the exercises change between them, because what works in a room and what works over a video call are not the same thing.

We start with what your team does and what they are already using AI for, and the examples and ethics cases come from your sector. Share any specific background, concerns or questions and I will fold those in. I also send a short questionnaire round before the session.

De-mystifying AI is about understanding what these systems are and where they fail. Practical AI at Work is about using that understanding to get better results and to know when to stop and check. Teams often take the first and then book the second, though either stands on its own.

Often yes, though it depends on what the prior training covered, so it is worth a conversation first. In my experience many teams have had hands-on tool training and still do not understand the fundamental problems these systems have, or how to work around them. That is especially true of vendor-provided sessions, which are less likely to explain those problems in any depth.

Yes, as a separate booking. Leadership sessions weight the material towards data handling, procurement, governance and the questions a board will be asked. Day-to-day tool use gets much less airtime.

A week or more is most comfortable. Shorter notice is often possible, so it is worth asking.

Slides go to attendees afterwards. Recording is something we can discuss, bearing in mind that these sessions are interactive, conversational and hands-on, so most of what people take away comes out of the discussion rather than the slides.
